Delivery Release for Motion Control System SIMOTION Version V5.5 SP1
General
SIMOTION V5.5 SP1 is released for delivery effective immediately. The release refers to the following components:
– Engineering-System SIMOTION SCOUT, SCOUT Stand-alone and SCOUT TIA, version V5.5 SP1
– SIMOTION Kernel/Firmware V5.5 SP1
– CamTool V4.5 SP1
– DCC SIMOTION V3.5 SP1
SIMOTION V5.5 SP1 is the first generally released version within the major version V5.5.
Functional scope
New functions are available with SIMOTION V5.5 SP1. The most important new functions are:
– SIMOTION in the TIA Portal V18 with SCOUT TIA V5.5 SP1
– Optimizations for SCOUT and SCOUT TIA (e.g. in editors)
– Enhancements for the version control interface e.g. support of TOs
– SIMOTION D with SINAMICS Integrated V5.2 SP3 HF13
Siemens SIMOTION SCOUT is the scalable motion control system that quickly and easily handles increasing machine demands by enabling central machine functions to be implemented with just one controller. It is available in three variants: drive-based, PC-based and controller-based. Simotion Scout facilitates the configuration, programming, testing and commissioning of applications. With its graphical-based programming, Scout further facilitates system configuration for new users.
The SIMOTION SCOUT TIA Engineering System is the environment for the uniform automation of production machines with SIMOTION and integrates into the SIMATIC environment in accordance with TIA (Totally Integrated Automation). SIMOTION SCOUT TIA provides a uniform, function-oriented view for your automation task and it is also very user-friendly. The possible SIMOTION applications range from simple, parameterizable, speed-controlled single axes through to complex, mechatronically-coupled and programmable multi-axis machines. Therefore, SIMOTION SCOUT TIA provides views that are adapted to the task, and it can be expanded by additional tools.
